You are afforded the opportunity to investigate different alternatives and make selections that suit your wishes and align with your priorities. Walls on paper cost substantially less to move than walls built of wood.
The design-build process can save you money. The efficiency gained by having the entire project team under one roof and on the same page allows us to be very competitive in the fees we charge without reducing design quality. Fees invested to plan ahead translate directly to savings from time spent trying to resolve issues while construction is in progress. We can utilize energy modeling software to make selections in building assemblies and mechanical systems that will translate directly to lower energy bills.
We charge an hourly rate for our design services. Our fee is generally in the range of 7% to 9% of the cost of construction. We’ve found many projects can be completed near the lower end of that range if everything runs smoothly and decisions fall into place readily.
